so, uh, who’s doing all this typing?

Hello! I’m Emma Ehrenzeller—certified hypnotist, neuroscience master’s student, and human person. In 6th grade, I gave myself the nickname “emzell,” which you’ll see floating around this site and on social media today.

A few years back I went through a triple header of rock bottoms—my life was in the shitter in terms of love, work, and friendships.

That period of my life was incredibly difficult, and things didn’t get bright and sunny overnight, but the things that kept me moving and growing were:

  • Starting a regular but flexible meditation and journaling practice to open me up to introspection and well, realizing things. Shortly after, this developed into a hypnosis practice that was life changing.

  • Finding the courage to be vulnerable with others and myself about my past traumas and current emotions… it was so hard to get started, but endlessly worth it to do

So, like any other human, I still have rainy days, but ever since making these changes, my mental health has vastly improved, I feel more ‘myself’ (and happier) than ever, and I feel clear on how to communicate my needs to others in romantic relationships, friendships, and my family relationships (even just 5 years ago, I would’ve never thought that was possible).

About:
